- 5 / 5By T JacksonDuke's Alehouse, formerly known as Dukes is located in downtown Crystal Lake, right across from the Metra station to Chicago or north to Woodstock, and Harvard. The menu from days past may have had a bit more folklore especially in the menu item names, but with changing times and refurbishment (re-name) the reworked menu features lots of local produce, fresh game, and produces many great choices. Duke's Alehouse has a marvelous beer selection and if you have a chance to meet Mark, the owner, ask him for his recommendation. A great little place.June 24, 2016
